David has been training me for my Everest ascent for the last few years and the results are stunning. Through using him I've found that my strength has increased considerably, meaning ice climbing and rock climbing levels have increased. David's attention to detail is great, with nothing left to chance, the programme he put together for my wife has been amazing. I started training with David and Mark in my first year at the college, now, in my third year, I am defiantly the fittest I have ever been! The equipment is fantastic, when I go home in the holidays and train, it just does not compare and I don't see the same results. I love the personal approach to the training, I do a lot of classes and even though there may be 4 or 5 of us in a class, it feels like a personal training session, David is great at paying attention to us all as individuals and if he thinks he can push us further during the class, he will! I have yet to come away from a workout there and think that is wasn't worthwhile. I just wish there more gyms like this one around! Thank you!

Dave Long at helped me develop a long lasting love of training during my four-year stay in Cirencester. I have been a member of countless gyms before and since, but the friendly, no nonsense service available to his clients is, without doubt, second to none. David is an inspiration to anyone wishing to exercise, whether it is someone new to a gym or someone who has little or no experience in exercise. David is motivated, educated in the techniques and benefits of exercise and diet. David tailors training to the individuals needs and ability. I have noted how many well know sporting individuals will travel to train with David. David has been my trainer for nearly ten years and I am now a very much fitter person than I was thirty years ago, I have just turned 85. Up to the date of beginning my training with David, I had kept fit by walking my very lively dogs everyday. With David I have become much stronger and this is due to my weight training, because of his input I find his varied, challenging and safe, this would not be the case if I were left to my own devises. I certainly would not have the motivation or commitment. In the last three years I have run three 5k's and 2 10k races, the 5k's in under 36mins and the 10k's in just over an hour, which I consider to be a very good achievement. The next target is a half marathon & if all goes well the full marathon before I am 90. Again these are things I could not have even dreamed of completing without David's personal Training.

I've been training with David and Mark for over a year now and in that time I have improved as an athlete in terms of my strength, speed and endurance. I was able to gain 5th in the UK's Strongest Man 105kg class, my best placing to date. I believe this is due to the personal training I've been receiving with both Mark and David, not only are they great guys who welcome everyone but their knowledge on training is second to none. The equipment at the gym is also top class and can cater to any sport from long distance runners to mma fighters to rugby players, something I find other gyms lack. I would recommend the RAC gym from anyone to a professional athlete to someone just looking to loose a few pounds and shape up. Personally I live in Cheltenham so have the option of training in gyms that are much closer to home yet I still choose to train at the RAC and will continue to do so, as i feel it is the best thing for my training. Thanks for all your help guys, couldn't do it without you!!!
